Cadance and Shining Armor Anniversary Card

Today is my one year wedding anniversary. I have a tradition of making cute/silly cards for my husband for Valentine's Day so I thought that this year that tradition should also extend to anniversary cards. Since he and I both love ponies, Candace and Shining Armor seemed like a natural choice for the card.

I made this during project time with the kids I teach after school care for so my materials were limited to the construction paper and card-stock we had on hand, safety scissors, Elmers Glue and glue sticks, and lots of glitter. That is why Cadance has red hair rather than dark pink. There is only one shade of pink construction paper and the sort of dull red we had was the next best thing. I actually kind of like the limited color palette anyway though.

The inside is simple and just says "I'm glad we started a life and made room together" on a blue background so I didn't bother taking a picture of it.
