EFNW Charity Quilt by WhiteHeather EFNW Charity Quilt by WhiteHeather
I finally got around to taking pictures of this! Getting a good picture of something this size is difficult. Thanks to everyone who participated in this project! I think it turned out really wonderfully! We made $20,000 for Seattle Children's Hospital at the charity auction!

This quilt is a collaboration between 34 different artists. Each artist sent a square to me and I combined them into this larger piece. WhiteDove-Creations suggested adding Lauren Faust's OC to the list of included ponies and she even was able to get Lauren to sign the square for us! It was a lot of work and took much longer than I anticipated. I'm glad I left myself a lot of time to get it done! Even with the time I gave myself, I didn't feel like I really had the time to make the border with the various scraps as I originally intended, so the quilt isn't queen sized as planned, but it's still a good size! The quilt is about the right size for a double bed, though could easily be displayed on a larger bed as well or hung on a wall.

Here is a list of all the squares and the artists who made them. If I made any mistakes with the list, let me know. A few of the squares had different crafters than were originally assigned to them and I may have messed up something on the list because of that, but I think this is the final list. Sorry, they aren't in the order they are on the quilt. I just pulled the list from the spreadsheet I made while I was figuring out assignments.

How do people get involved? Do you choose people or do people volunteer? I'd love to help out with the nest one if I can.

People volunteer. I don't know if there is going to be a next one though unless someone else decides to organize it. With the hassle I had to go through both last year and this year, I'm not sure I'm up to running it a third year in a row. We'll see though!

I can imagine how much stress it would have been to organise, but you're amazing for doing it! good luck with it all! :D

Organizing this many artists is definitely not easy! It should be worth it in the end, but I just don't know that I can handle the stress a third year in a row. Thank you! :)

I helped take part in a quilt like this a long time ago when I was in elementary school. It's nice to see people still doing this! ^^ Mine wasn't for auction though, it went directly to children with AIDS.

I just wish I had a chance to see it in person. I'm just thrilled my Sunset Shimmer plush went for $1000 in the charity. I heard between all of us that donated we made around $40,000

Totally! Sorry I didn't get a chance to stop by your booth ;-; I was crazy busy over at my end of the hall lol. I pretty much got my doors blown off when Rebecca stopped by and signed my pony. I also got her to sign some extra felt for me so I can whip up another twilight and sunset to keep for myself XD

I think quilts really moved up in the pony world with that auction tho. I feel like more and more people are appreciating seamstresses, fiber artists and other crafters. I completely admire your work as well as your fellow plushie makers :D I saw lots of your cute beanies go by tho lol

I didn't have a booth. You must be thinking of EquestriaPlush or one of the other artists there :) I haven't ever vended at a con because Everfree is the only one I go to and I like to be able to really enjoy everything it has to offer and not be stuck at a table most of the time!

Maybe I can blame being so tired lol. I had alot of fun at efnw but it is also good to be home.
