My Little Pony Twilight Sparkle Plushie by WhiteHeather My Little Pony Twilight Sparkle Plushie by WhiteHeather
At long last here is Twilight! The lavender minky is really hard to photograph. It is pale, but not as pale as is showing up here! I used a new machine applique technique for her eyes, which worked out quite well. The cutie mark is still hand done. The small stars on her mark are hard to see, but they are there. They even have a tiny bit of metallic white embroidery thread at the center to give her a little sparkle! She stands about 13 inches tall.

Now that I have made a normal pony I will be accepting commissions if my front page says I'm open for them. More details on my front page and in my journal if you are interested.

I haven't decided yet whether I want to sell this Twilight or not. If I do decide to sell her she will be the $350 price that a Twilight commission would be.

Other angles in my scraps.

I want to see a side by side comparison with the official TS plushie

Then I would actually need to own the official plushie though which is a horrifying thought.

$350???!!!!! @__@

Oh HELL no!
I would pay $90.00 tops for that!
No offense, but a normal sized pony plush costing more then $100 is just wrong to me. No offense. ^^;

Do you have any idea how much work goes into making these? Good luck finding quality ones for under $100.

So are the feet weighted? Otherwise it looks like she would have a hard time standing up.

Anyway, this is probably the #1 best Twilight plush out there. If I had $350 dollars to spare, I would DEFINITELY buy her. You did an awesome job.

The feet are not weighted, but she has no trouble standing. She only had slight issues before I put her tail on since her head is pretty heavy and made her unbalanced.

I do have plastic pellets I could use to weight plushies though if you or someone else commissioned one and wanted those included :)

Thanks! I'm really happy with her :) Now to make everypony else. However, I have currently distracted myself with figuring out how to make the villain from the latest episode.

she's amazing! haha if i made plushies half as cute as yours i couldn't bear to part with them. and i love how you dont embroider the cutie marks. it gives them a much softer look <3

I do a bit of embroidery on them for the smaller details when I need to, like the small stars on Twilight and the strings on Lyra's lyre, but I always figured that their cutie marks would be the same texture as their skin if they were real so it makes the most sense to me to make them out of the same fabric. That and I don't have an embroidery machine anyway ;)

Her hair is really hard! It took a lot longer to sew than I expected. Those little stripes are a pain to piece together.

Thanks! I'm glad it turned out well. It will save me loads of time to be able to do the eyes by machine :) The only annoying part is I have to take the foot off my machine to fit my embroidery hoop under it, but that's a small inconvenience compared to doing the eyes entirely by hand!
